Function: challenge child’s balancing, motor planning, coordination, provide vestibular sense. Children can stand on it, squad on it, walk on it (can put many pieces on floor), sit on it/ inside it when therapist position it as a bowl, spin in it. It also challenge child’s postural control when sit inside the shell (can ask them to take things placed in around them, they need to maintain their posture so they don’t accidentally fall onto the floor), use as a basket to carry items when doing heavy work.
